▪️HOW TO CREATE A SPACE TO RELAX AND UNWIND STRESS▪️

Home is where you can feel safe and relaxed when life gets overwhelming. Spaces have a huge impact on how you feel. A well-designed space filled with items you love can be calming and may relieve stress, while chaotic houses can have the opposite effect on your mood and mental health.

1. Go for neutral tones – walls of a netral tone (beige/cream) and shades of warmth around the house – for example, pale tan and faded yellow cushions make a huge difference.

2. Appeal of a fireplace – decorate your fireplace with plants and neutral accents

3. Candles – soft glow of candles add a sense of peace to any space.

4. Work on your lights – ambient, natural or task lighting, having a bright space feel more inviting and put together

5. Scent it – pleasant aroma calms your senses. You may use a humidifier with essential oils to do the job or just use a aromatic room spray.

6. Outdoors in – plants, plants and plants! Period.

7. Beautiful view to nature – work on those window treatments to capture a view that you love.

8. Soften with textiles

9. Bring in the spa in your bath – get some fluffy towels, a few candles, and some epsom and sea salt crytals in a jar to add it in your bath. Warm lighting makes a whole lot of difference too.

▪️DIY BATH SALTS▪️

1. 3 cups of Epsom salt
2. 1.5 cups of coarse sea salt/dead sea salt
3. 0.5 cup baking soda
4. 15-20 drops of essential oil that you love!
5. Dried flower petals (Optional)

Store it in a cool, dry place.

You may use about a 0.5 cup in your hot bath.

1. Wash dishes and wipe kitchen sink
2. Wipe down all countertops
3. Get your trashbin cleared
4. Do your laundry
5. Fold and put away the laundry

EVERY WEEK:
1. Clean and wipe kitchen appliances
2. Clean toilets, bathtub, shower and sink
3. Clean your mirrors
4. Dust off your open shelves and cabinets
5. Change the bed linen
6. Vaccum rugs, curtains/blinds and upholstery
7. Mop the floors

EVERY MONTH:
1. Clean inside the ovens
2. Wipe down the inside of your refrigerator
3. Clean the inside of the bath cabinets
4. Clean the lights, wipe switches and doorknobs
5. Vaccum the skirting boards and vents
6. Disinfect the trashbins
7. Check for expired items in the fridge
8. Clean and wipe the windows
9. Wash curtains/blinds

EVERY SEASON:
1. Clean the inside of kitchen cabinets
2. Wash throws/pillows/blankets
3. Sort wardrobe for items to clean or donate
